PURPOSE: Provided are a degradable resin excellent in physical property and biodegradability which is produced by graft copolymerizing starch or its derivatives with aliphatic polyester, a method for preparing the same, and a degradable resin composition containing the resin. CONSTITUTION: The resin is based on starch or its derivatives grafted to aliphatic polyester consisting of 10-50 parts by weight of aliphatic dicarbonic acid having 8 or less aliphatic carbon, 10-40 parts by weight of aliphatic diol having 8 or less aliphatic carbon and 2 hydroxyl group, and 10-80 parts by weight of starch or its derivatives. The resin is prepared by polycondensing 10-50 parts by weight of the aliphatic dicarbonic acid and 10-40 parts by weight of the aliphatic diol, adding 10-80 parts by weight of the starch or its derivatives to the resulting polycondensate, and then graft copolymerizing them together. The degradable resin composition comprises 5-99 parts by weight of copolymer based on the starch or its derivatives and 1-95 parts by weight of polyolefin.
