PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a circuit scale and to improve a processing speed in a filter device performing filtering processing of matrix data, such as image data. SOLUTION: Data (the data of an area A) undergoing filtering processing is divided into 1st to 3rd memory parts 5 to 7 to be stored. The next data is stored in a 4th memory part, while the data are subjected to filtering processing. Next, an area B is subjected to filtering processing by using the data of the 2nd to 4th memory parts, because a part overlapping on the area A of the data (the data of the area B) undergoing filtering processing has already been stored in the 2nd and 3rd memory parts. Thus, the circuit scale of the memory parts is reduced since overlapping data do not have to be stored, and a processing speed is also improved because the same data do not have be reread. |
