PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a converter which is simply fixed and high in mass- productivity by press-fitting a short-circuit bar to a waveguide so as to pass through a hollow part between a first and a second probes fixed so as to project end into the hollow part. SOLUTION: In fixing a first probe 4 to a housing 3, one end of a central conductor 4b is projected to the side of a housing part 3c and the other end is projected to the center of the cavity 2c of a waveguide 2. In fixing a second probe, one end of a central conductor 5b is projected to the side of a housing part 3c, the other end is projected to the cavity 2c of the waveguide 2 and its folded tip part 5c is projected to the center side o the cavity 2c. A short- circuit bar 6 is put through a hole 3f formed at a bottom wall part 3a and having a tapered inner wall and is press-fitted so as to penetrate the cavity of the waveguide from a housing part 3c.
