The invention concerns a matching cover for a motor vehicle seat, produced in a shape retaining and hardly extensible material. The seat zone (20) and/or the back zone (30) of said cover are cut out and dimensioned on the basis of measurements and contours of the seat part (2), and the back (3) respectively, so as to cover the latter at least partly well adjusted like a hood. Thus, the outlet zone of a lateral airbag (7) provided in the matching cover automatically coincides with the passage zone (8) of a lateral airbag (7) of the vehicle, and when the matching cover is installed, and when the matching cover is used, the arrangement between the outlet zone (15) and the passage zone (8) is preserved.
