PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water replacing device for a ship diluting and replacing ballast water without adversely affecting an attitude and longitudinal strength of a navigating ship hull, and a prospect for maneuvering the ship. SOLUTION: A ballast water replacing device is provided with hull 2 having a port ballast tank 10 and a starboard ballast tank 11, a filling pipeline 22 filling outboard water as ballast water sucked through a first pump 21 into either of the port or the starboard ballast tank, an introduction pipeline 53 introducing the ballast water filled in one of the ballast tanks to the other ballast tank, and an draining pipeline 24 sucking the ballast water filled in the other ballast tank through a second pump 23 and draining the ballast water outboard.
