PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple impregnation method accelerating the impregnation of an electrolyte into electrodes. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte battery is made by housing, in a battery can, an electrode group comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. Its manufacturing process comprises a process for adjusting the amount of water contained in the electrode group and/or in the nonaqueous electrolyte, a process for housing, in the battery can, the electrode group and the nonaqueous electrolyte with their water content adjusted and tight closing an opening part thereof, and a process for producing gas having hydrogen as main constituent by an electromotive force of the battery. Internal pressure in the battery is raised by the gas produced, thereby impregnating the nonaqueous electrolyte into the unimpregnated electrodes yet to be impregnated with the electrolyte. |
