<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut the operation cost of a transportation device by selecting a material having appropriate physical properties for a pipe that makes up a linear tube of a linear motor driven capsule transportation device. SOLUTION: A non-magnetic metal is used for a pipe 2, and grooves 9 are provided on the pipe 2 to control the eddy currents generated in the pipe 2 while a capsule 4 is running inside a linear tube 1. The shape of the grooves 9 are either one of a straight line parallel to the longitudinal direction of the pipe 2, a spiral line advancing in its longitudinal direction, or a ring arranged side by side in its longitudinal direction. The grooves 9 are arranged on either the inside or outside circumference of the pipe 4. The inside of the grooves 9 is filled with a non-magnetic resin.</p> |
