The safety valve has a stopper (24) that is made from fusible material. The material is designed to melt at a predetermined temperature to release the gas that is stored under pressure from the reservoir and avoid the risk of explosion. The stopper is subject to the action of a sliding piston (14) with a differential operation that partly reduces the effect of the pressureof the gas on the stopper. This ensures that the fusible material does not fail to melt at the predetermined temperature due to the effects of pressure.
