摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering a sulfur content which can improve preservation of the environment. SOLUTION: In the method for recovering a sulfur content comprising an H2S absorption step 13 of absorbing H2S in a gas formed by gasification of a solid or liquid fuel in an absorbing solution; an H2S combustion step 21 of mixing an H2S-containing gas containing the H2S regenerated from the absorption solution with an oxygen-containing gas burn the resulting mixed gas; and a desulfurization step 25 of recovering the sulfur content from an exhaust gas generated in this H2S combustion step 21, by carrying out the H2S combustion step 21 at a combustion temperature of 600 deg.C to 900 deg.C with a residence time of 1 sec to 2 sec in a combustion zone, the H2S is almost completely burned and converted to SO2 to reduce the concentrations of SO3 and other sulfur compounds and sulfuric acid mist in the exhaust gas.</p>
