PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to sense that the obstacle exists in the space where a visually disabled person's upper half body moves when he/she walks. SOLUTION: An obstacle sensor 1, which consists of a beam radiating device that radiates an energy beam forwardly and a sensing device that senses a beam reflected from an obstacle, a controlling part 2 that disposes a signal from the obstacle sensor 1, and a perception outputting device 3 that enables a walker to discern whether an obstacle exists or not, is provided. The controlling part 2 judges whether an obstacle exists or not according to the sensing signal sensed by the sensing device and the perception outputting device 3 operates according to a judging output from the controlling part 2. Thus, whether an obstacle exists or not can be discerned. |
