PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapsible holding stand which is mainly usable as an umbrella stand. SOLUTION: First and second leg frames 13, 14 are rotatably connected to a stand member 12 at front and rear positions, respectively. The second leg frame 14 comprises an upper frame part 27 and a lower frame part 28 and is formed to be capable of telescoping. The stand member 12 is formed in such a manner that it can be rotated in a folding direction by movement of the upper frame part 27 is an extending direction when the upper frame part 27 is pulled upward. The stand member 12 has an umbrella holding member 16 inside a frame 15, the umbrella holding member 16 having cylinders 21 which serve as umbrella slots each being greater in vertical width than the frame 15.
