SOLAR CELL AND MANUFACTURE OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solar cell which is so structured that a P-type semiconductor layer and/or an N-type semiconductor is hardly damaged in a manufacturing process of the solar cell possessed of a P-N junction. SOLUTION: Two light transmitting insulating boards 10 and 12, each of which is provided with electrodes 18 and 20 formed on their surfaces, are arranged so as to have their electrodes 18 and 20 confront each other, and a P-type semiconductor layer and an N-type semiconductor layer are laminated between the surfaces of the boards 10 and 12, where the electrodes are provided for the formation of a solar cell possessed of a P-N junction. In this case, an inorganic semiconductor layer 14 of a metal compound serves as the P-type semiconductor layer, and an organic N-type semiconductor layer 16 of organic compound serves as the N-type semiconductor layer.
