<p>The transcription factor Snail has been identified as a repressor of the expression of cadherine E. The expression of Snail induces invasive and metastasic capacity in tumoral cells. The present invention discloses a new target protein, Snail, for the identification of new antitumoral compounds and it also discloses a new prognostic marker for tumors, indicative of tissue invasion and metastatic capacity.</p> |
