发明名称 PRODUCTION OF PLANAR FOAMED GLASSWARE ARTICLE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a planar foamed glassware article which is made of glass scrap material such as glass cullet, has high strength and is low in cost. SOLUTION: The glass cullet is finely pulverized to average grain size of 5 to 100μm, at least one kind among calcium carbonate, silicon carbide and fine powder of carbon is added thereto as a foaming agent by 0.5 to 5.0 wt.% and is mixed. The mixed fine powder is continuously laid over in a mold form to 5 to 200 mm thickness, is sent into a shuttle kiln or a tunnel kiln and is subjected to melting, foaming and sintering in the kiln at 700 to 980 deg.C for 20 minutes to 5 hours of residence time in the kiln. Then sintered article is quenched to 180 to 280 deg.C for 5 to 30 minutes.
