PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain watercolor ink having properties as oil-based ink, hardly causing nozzle plugging and useful for ink-jet recording by including both propylene glycol and a specific addition polymer at the same time in ink where pigment is dispersed in an aqueous medium. SOLUTION: This watercolor ink is prepared by including, in (A) an ink where pigment is dispersed in an aqueous medium, at least (B) propylene glycol and (C) a propylene oxide addition polymer of a lower alcohol, preferably propylene glycol propyl ether, at the same time. The pigment included in the ingredient A preferably is made of colored resin particles where a film-forming resin involves the coloring matter. The contents of the ingredient B and C in the ink preferably are 8-40 mass % and 8-15 mass %, respectively. The ink preferably contains glycerin additionally and preferably has viscosity of 5-30 mPs.s. |
