PURPOSE: A payment agent method and a server system for the same are provided to activate an online electronic commercial transaction(EC), by removing the feeling of uneasiness about the payment between a seller and a buyer. CONSTITUTION: A storage part(31-34) stores the transaction information including the data of the seller and the buyer, and the payment information that corresponds to the transaction information(31-34). A payment part(42) settles the bill for a bought product that corresponds to the transaction information. A report part(41) notices to the buyer that the product bill should be paid, and to the seller that it has been paid. An identification part(43) checks that the product corresponding to the transaction information has been received from the internet access means for the buyer. A payment part(44) pays the product bill to the seller if the receipt of the product was identified.
