The data transmission method uses a bus line (BL) for communication between the passenger restraint control device (SG) and a number of individual sensors (S1-S5) for detecting crash parameters, identified by respective addresses, with transmission of data from each sensor in a given time slot, in response to an interrogation telegram from the control device, when the sensor address is identified in the interrogation telegram.
