PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use font data mounted on a PC(personal computer) even when the PC-mounted font data format is different from the font-scaler adaptive format mounted on a network printer. SOLUTION: The print control method decides whether or not the format of a downloaded font can be converted on a PC side (step S501); when a format converter corresponding to a scaler mounted on a printer is mounted on the PC, the format of the downloaded font can be converted, so the data format of the downloaded font is converted on the PC side to the font data format mounted on the printer side and the format-converted font data are downloaded to the printer (S502).
