The invention concerns an arrangement for fitting a roll of film R in a wrapping machine which incorporates at least film-distribution devices 3 for feeding a wrapping film F in a continuous web from the film roll R around the item P to be wrapped, whereby roll-fixing attachments 310 have been fitted to the film-distribution devices 3 in order to fix the film roll so that it rotates around its longitudinal axis Y3. In the invention, the roll- fixing attachments 310 are arranged to fix a roll shaft 9 which is designed to connect with the film roll R, whereby a draw device 912 has been fitted on the end 902 of the roll shaft 9 for gripping. The roll-fixing attachments 310 comprise jaws 312 which are designed to be fixed in the draw device 912 by locking and which are arranged to fit the end 902 of roll shaft 9 by drawing to the roll-fixing attachments 310. In the said attachments 310, a matching surface 311 is formed which by pressing is arranged to fit against a matching surface 911 formed on the end 902 of roll shaft 9 in order to centre and lock the roll shaft 9.
