PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a non-contact IC card by converting address information of a memory to the time width of a non-modulation carrier wave to transmit to the non-contact IC card so as to avoid the generation of an address error. SOLUTION: In the case of writing information in a non-contact IC card, a writing instruction 1 is originated from a reader/writer first. The non-contact IC card which receives this returns a recognition signal 2 of the instruction to the reader/writer and starts measuring of time. The reader/writer transmits a non-modulation carrier wave 3 for only a prescribed time td corresponding to an address desired to write from the transition of the writing instruction and after then, transmits a data block 4. The non-contact IC card receives the data block 4 and measures a time width td between a writing instruction block and the data block by stopping time measurement. This time width td is converted to the address information of a memory by a converting means inside of the card to write writing data included in the data block 4 to the converted address. |
