PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten access time of a light pickup and to miniaturize the whole device. SOLUTION: In a driving device 1 for a light pickup, a rotatable turning arm 4 is set up using a rotatably supporting means 3 as a center, and a light pickup 9 is mounted on the tip end side of the turning arm 4. The light pickup 9 is provided with a hologram transmitter-receiver 6, an objective lens 5 and a mirror 8. A laser beam irradiated from the hologram transmitter-receiver 6 is reflected by the mirror 8, and an optical disk 2 is irradiated by the laser beam through the objective lens 5. Also, a driving coil 13 is disposed in the back end side of the turning arm 4, an upper side yoke 12a is set up on an upper side of the driving coil 13, and a magnet and a lower side yoke are set up in the lower side of the same. Therefore, the turning arm 4 is turned around the rotatably supporting means 3 as the center when a DC is made to flow through the driving coil 13, and the light pickup 9 is whereby moved in the tracking direction. Also, the turning arm 4 is vertically slidable. |
