PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance fluidity, heat resistance, durability and shelf stability and to reduce energy necessary for fixation by incorporating a vinyl copolymer polymerized in the presence of a polyethylene wax obtained by purifying a low grade polymer of polyethylene obtained by a medium or low pressure method into a fixing resin. SOLUTION: A vinyl copolymer polymerized in the presence of a polyethylene wax obtained by purifying a low grade polymer of polyethylene obtained by a medium or low pressure polyethylene polymerization method using a Ziegler catalyst or the like is incorporated into the fixing resin of an electrostatic charge image developing toner. Though the molecular weight distribution of the polyethylene wax is extended by moderately incorporating a low molecular weight component, in order to ensure satisfactory fixability and anti-offsetting property, the molecular weight distribution must be controlled in such a way that the melt viscosity of the polyethylene wax at 140 deg.C is reduced to <10 mPa.s.
