PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bubbing system that can display a type of a video signal and also prevents other video signals than a reproduced video signal from being recorded on a recording medium by mistake. SOLUTION: A bubbing system where a recording device records a video signal from an output means of a reproducing device provided with an output means outputting a video signal on a recording medium, is provided with a signal selection means 8 that selects any of a plurality of video signals and provides an output of the selected video signal and with an insertion means 11 that inserts a type discrimination signal to the video signal received from the signal selection means 8 for its vertical blanking period and provides an output of the resulting video signal.
