FORK LIFT WITH TRAVERSE SYSTEM

A fork lift with traverse system, wherein, in normal traveling, a steering wheel (16) is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise to operate a steering cylinder (51) through an orbit roll (58) in order to turn the fork lift by steering rear wheels (4) according to the steering of the steering wheel, when the steering cylinder is operated to a limit, the right and left side rear wheels are allowed to be steered to a condition that their rear end sides are inclined closely to each other so that the fork lift can turn at a fixed position, a front wheel rotating device (30) and a rear wheel rotating device (50) are operated to rotate the front wheels (3) and the rear wheels about vertical axes (27, 49), respectively in order to steer these wheels through an angle of 90 DEG (steered sideways) and, the rear wheel rotating device operates a rear wheel traversing cylinder (53) in the condition that the steering cylinder is set at a neutral position to steer the rear wheels through an angle of 90 DEG , whereby, after the front and rear wheels are steered sideways, the front wheels are driven forward or reversely by a drivingly traveling device (21) so as to transversely travel the fork lift (1) in lateral direction.
