The disc brake has brake linings (1) arranged on each side of the disc and having a lining segment (2) on a support plate at the back of the lining. A defined additional mass (5, 6) with a greater specific weight than the lining segment (2) or support plate (3) is provided in the lining segments and/or in the brake lining support plates at least in the inlet area (E) of the disc (4) between the linings (1). the additional mass forms a part of the friction surface of the lining segments and consists of a cylindrical stopper embedded in the lining segment.
