PURPOSE: A method for logging a message of a home location register(HLR), is provided to store a message delivered between the HLR and a customer data distributing device in a specific directory with a log-file, so as to refer to the log file in error generation and to easily change the directory. CONSTITUTION: When message logging is requested, whether a specific file exists in a specific directory is confirmed. If the file does not exist, unavailable message logging is displayed, and if the file exist, a directory is read from the specific file. If the read directory does not exist, a corresponding directory is generated, and if the directory exist, the log-file is opened.
