PURPOSE: An acoustic image extension device of an audio system is provided to process original acoustic signals for extending acoustic image while minimizing the variance in acoustic tone when sound is reproduced using two speakers. CONSTITUTION: A first left delayer(12) delays a left input acoustic signal(Lin) input through a first input(11). A first left low pass filter(13) passes through only low band of the delayed signal. A first left amplifier(14) multiplies a gain(g11) to the low band filtered signal. A second left delayer(15) delays a left input acoustic signal(Lin) input through the first input(11). A second left low pass filter(16) passes through only low band of the delayed signal. A second left amplifier(17) multiplies a gain(g21) to the low band filtered signal. An adder(30) adds the signals(26,27) obtained by the amplifiers(14,17) and a right input acoustic signal(Rin) input through a second input(24), and outputs the added signal as a final right output acoustic signal(Rout).
