SOLUTION: This copying machine 2 has an reversely carrying passage 38 for reversing carrying sheets guided from an image forming and carrying passage 10, a return passage 40 for returning sheets reversely carried from the reversely carrying passage 38 under the image forming and carrying passage 10 in the state that the face and back sides are in the same direction and a reversal carrying passage 60 for re-carrying face-and-back reversal sheets from the return passage 40 to the upstream side of the image forming and carrying passage 10. A finisher F including a sheet receiving table 66 is provided under the return passage 40 and at least one carrying means is arranged in the return passage 40 for selectively carrying sheets into the sheet receiving table 66.
