PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sink block containing valid data from being cancelled or a sink block containing invalid data from being judged to be valid data by adding error correction codes to a data part containing real data and a header part showing the contents of the data part. SOLUTION: In a data part error correction code addition circuit 106, a first error correction code for reinforcing error correction function is added to a data part. In a header part error correction code addition circuit 107, a first error correction code having correction ability similar to that of the data part is added to a header part and it is multiplexed again to a data string in a header/data multiplex circuit 108. Then, the data is supplied to a transport part 52. Thus, probability that the contents of the real data part of a sink block is erroneously judged can be reduced by adding the first error correction code not only to the data part but also to the header part and correcting an error at the time of reproduction.
