PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adapter for card connection to which a card is easily inserted. SOLUTION: This adapter 1 for card connection is used to make a multimedia card 100 fit and to be inserted into a CF card slot 301. A notch 12A moving backward from a card insertion slot 2A is formed an upper metal cover 12 dividing a card housing space 2 for housing the card 100. The width W of the notch 12A is wider than that of the card 100. A guiding part 36 guiding the front edge 112 of the card 100 is provided at a part exposing from the notch 12A. Thus, the edge 112 of the card 100 is applied to the range of the notch 12A and can be guided into the space 2. When the card 100 is applied, the card 100 can be erected obliquely against the adapter 1.
