PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transmission compact and to reduce shock at the time of a gear shift by arranging a clutch around a transmission shaft provided with a planetary gear type reduction gear in the transmission arranging a plurality of pairs of clutches and the planetary gear type reduction gear within a transmission case. SOLUTION: Within a transmission case 1, first to sixth transmission shafts 21 to 26 and a PTO shaft 27 are freely rotatably and laterally laid in front and rear directions. At a front end of the transmission shaft 21, an input shaft 20 to be connected with a driving source is disposed. At this time, the transmission shafts 21 to 25 are arranged around the sixth transmission shaft 26 and each pair of hydraulic clutches 11, 12; 13, 14; 15, 16; 17, 18 is arranged on the transmission shafts 21 to 24. Planetary gear type reduction gears 3, 4 are arranged on the sixth transmission shaft 26. A pump shaft 29 in which the fourth transmission shaft 24 is arranged is connected with a hydraulic pump 6. As for each pair of clutches, each pair of clutches is stored into a clutch case and gears 31, 45, 51, 66 formed on each clutch case are engaged one another.
