PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide small ink jet recording head and ink jet recorder having simple structure in which generation of crosstalk is eliminated while preventing jamming of nozzle. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording head 10 comprises a seal liquid sectioning means 24 having a communication opening 26, an ink ejection opening 12 made in the ink ejection plane 28, an ejection chamber 16 provided with an ink ejection means 14, and a section 18 for holding seal liquid 22. The communication opening 26 also serves as a behavior transmitting direction altering means 32 of seal liquid, and alters the behavior transmitting direction of the seal liquid 22 from the center of the ink ejection opening 12. According to the arrangement, behavior of the seal liquid 22 is not transmitted to the surrounding seal liquid 22 and generation of crosstalk is eliminated. Furthermore, jamming of nozzle can be prevented because the ink ejection opening 12 is sealed with the seal liquid 22.
