PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent penetration of water, sand or mud inside shoes by slipping up of the cuffs of a trouser from the top port edge of a shoe. SOLUTION: This trouser forms a cut-opened part 2 along a side line sewing part and from its knee to a bottom end edge of the cuff 1A, and makes the cut-opened part 2 openable and closable by a slide fastener. A flap 4 is provided along the cut-opened part 2 and a clamping tool 5 is located at an upper position with a prescribed breadth from the bottom end edge of the cuff 1A. In the case, the position of locating the clamping tool 5 is decided to 5-8 cm upper than the bottom end edge of the cuff 1A and the position of the bottom end part 3a of the slide fastener 3 is decided to >=4 cm upper from the bottom end edge 1A and lower than the clamping tool 5. By the method, when the clamping tool is extended along an outer peripheral surface of the shoe S in a closely adhered state and penetration of water, sand, mud, etc., into the inside part of the bottom end edge of the cuff is prevented.
