PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connection device of a reinforcing bar capable of firmly connecting the reinforcing bars by simple structure and operation in a jobsite in a state where a diameter widening part is formed on the end of the reinforcing bar. SOLUTION: A connection device for mutually connecting reinforcing bars A providing a diameter widening head part B on the end provides the first cut groove 14 of width in which the diameter widening head part B is engaged in a slip stop state by suiting the reinforcing bar A on a first connection fitting 11 being an inside hollow, a second cut groove 16 fitted to the reinforcing bar A fitted to and inserted in the first cut groove 14 at the time of fitting to and inserting in the first connection fitting 11 is provided on a second connection fitting 12 fitted to the first connection fitting 11, the reinforcing bar A is fitted to and inserted in the first cut groove 14 of the first connection fitting 11, and the reinforcing bar A is firmly connected by simple structure and operation only by fitting the second connection fitting 12 to the first connection fitting 11.
