The slideblock (20) is formed from two parts fitting into each other telescopically. It is held on one part of the column and engages in a guide element fitted axially in the other part. The slideblock consists of a base element (21) and a cover element (23) or of two base elements. There is a spring element (22) in the slideblock which acts tangentially and-or radially. The spring element has a spring cushion (24,24') of soft polyvinyl chloride, and at least one dish spring and one coil spring.
