PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compositing method, capable of the readability of character and symbol parts, when compositing the image of a character or symbol and a general color image of a photograph or the like. SOLUTION: Only a character is extracted from a character image, in which the character in a single color is plotted on the plain background, and defined as a character image part 11 and the corresponding part of an arbitrary color image replaced with the character image part 11. Thus, a composite image, composed of the character image part 11 and a color image part 12 except for the character image part 11 in the original color image, is prepared. With such an image compositing method, the composite image having satisfactory character readability can be prepared. |
