A wiper for machine tool small in abrasion resistance and abrasion loss at a lip part, comprising a mounting part (3) installed on a machine tool moving relative to a sliding surface (14) and a wiper main body (10) which is forme d integrally with the mounting part (3) and made of an elastic material, where in a lip part (11) of the wiper main body (10) can be slid on the sliding surfa ce (14), and at least the lip part (11) of the wiper main body (10) is covered with fabric material (5), whereby the wiper for machine tool is prevented fr om being damaged by the collision or impact of chips and the sliding surfaces thereof is prevented from being damaged.
