ALKALINE WATER-SOLUBLE THERMOPLASTIC RESIN AND ADHESIVE COMPRISING THE SAME

An alkaline water-soluble thermoplastic resin is described comprising units of isobutylene, units of malefic anhydride and units of n-butyl acrylate with the molar ratio of the isobutylene units, malefic anhydride units and n-butyl acrylate units being 1:0.8-1.2:0.2-5.0. The resin is useful as a bonding material in such products as aqueous adhesives and water-based paints.
