PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance and commercial value of even thin-cover sheets by interleaf machines for superposing and affixing a cover sheet made of, for example, printed paper or a sheet, and a mount made of, for example, strawboard or corrugated board. SOLUTION: The interleaf machine comprises a cover supply device 2, a holding drum device 3, a paste application device 4, a mount supply device 5 and an affixing device 6. Characteristically, the holding drum device 3 rotates in one direction when holding the leading edge of a cover sheet from the cover sheet supply device 2, and the paste application device 4 applies paste to the reverse side of the cover sheet rotated by the holding drum device 3. The so- called holding drum type dispenses with separating claws and threads indispensable to conventional paste application devices.
