PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold release film having excellent postprocessing suitability in the case of manufacturing a mounting sheet of an adhesive label, an adhesive tape or the like, a ceramic sheet or the like by using the film, usable as the film, and no necessity of incinerating or the like by decomposing in a natural field after using as the film. SOLUTION: The mold release film comprises an aliphatic polyester biaxially oriented film made of a polymer containing an aliphatic polyester of a main repeating unit of the formula: -O CHR-CO- (wherein R is H or 1-3C alkyl group) as a main component; a refractive index (Nz) of a thickness direction of 1.440 to 1.455, unevenness of the Nz in a lengthwise direction of 0.2% or below and a heat shrinkage factor of the lengthwise direction at 120 deg.C of 5% or below as a base material, and a mold release layer provided on at least one side surface of the oriented film.
