HIGH SPEED VIDEO INTERFACE CIRCUIT FOR A VIDEO DISC RECORDER

PURPOSE: An interface circuit for a video in a VDR(Video Disk Recorder) is provided to store and reproduce image data of NTSC system in real time. CONSTITUTION: Four disk boards(1-4) are connected between PCI bus and data bus of a host PC in parallel to each other for successively storing real images. A parity board(5) is installed between the PCI bus and a video interface board(6) for restoring images. The video interface board is installed between the PCI bus, the data bus, and the parity board for distributing image data from outside to the disk boards and the parity board, or for outputting the image data to external apparatuses. Herein, the video interface board includes a PCI interface unit, TTL to ECL, and ECL to TTL converters, and a video control unit controlling video signals.
