<p>An anchor positioning assembly (10) for use in casting a concrete panel. The anchor positioning assembly (10) includes a void former (12), a cooperating cover (14) and an anchor (16). The assembly (10) may further include an adaptor insert (18) for receiving anchors of variable shapes and sizes. The void former (12) includes a body (24) having first and second portions (26, 28) pivotally connected by a pair of hinge webs (30). A peripheral lip (60) extends outwardly from the periphery (37) of the void former (12). A cover (14) includes a top plate (68) having a reentrant edge (76) defining a locking groove (78) for releasably engaging the peripheral lip (60) of the void former (12), thereby providing a seal between the void former (12) and the cover (14). The cover (14) includes a plurality of mounting apertures (82) to facilitate securing of the cover (14) to concrete formwork (22).</p> |
