ZIRCONIA SHEET AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can strongly bond electrode printing or the like to a zirconia sheet with a high adhesion on both surfaces of the zirconia sheet as in the case of solid electrolyte membrane. SOLUTION: This zirconia sheet comprises a sintered zirconia sheet and has the surface roughness on both faces with the maximum height (Ry) of 0.3-3 μm, the arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of 0.02-0.3 μm. In a preferred embodiment, the surface roughness ratio of one side face (the face on the side having smaller Ry and Ra) to the other side) is 1-5 at the maximum ratio (Ry ratio) and is 1-10 at the arithmetic average roughness ratio.
