PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a rubber composition having high adhesiveness to metal, having high modulus and high resistance to set and heat and suitably usable in a composite product consisting of rubber and metal by including highly hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer rubber. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. copolymer rubber having 10-45 wt.% units derived from unsaturated nitriles, 0-5 wt.% units derived from conjugated dienes and 90-50 wt.% units derived from ethylenic unsaturated monomers except the unsaturated nitriles and/or units obtained by hydrogenating the units derived from conjugated dienes in polymer chains, and showing an iodine number of <=15, (B) 1-10 pts.wt. organic peroxide (e.g. dicumylperoxide or the like), (C) 0.1-15 pts.wt. 2,4-dimercapto-6-substituted-1,3,5-triazine of the formula (wherein, R is mercapto or the like) and (D) 1-100 pts.wt. polymer (preferably graft copolymer) having epoxy group capable of being crosslinked with organic peroxide.
