摘要 PURPOSE: A multi domain liquid crystal display device is provided to control the direction of alignment in a domain by inducing electric field distortion. CONSTITUTION: A multi domain liquid crystal display device includes a first and second substrates, a plurality of gate interconnections and data interconnections(3), a pixel electrode(13), a common auxiliary electrode(15), a gate insulation layer, a passivation layer, a blocking layer, a color filter layer, a common electrode, an alignment layer, and a liquid crystal layer. The first and second substrates are aligned with each other. The plurality of gate interconnections and data interconnections(3) are formed in rows and columns on the first substrate and define a pixel region. The pixel electrode(13)is formed in the pixel region so as to have the electric field inducing window therein. The common auxiliary electrode(15) is formed so as to surround the pixel region. The gate insulation layer is formed over the first substrate. The passivation layer is formed on the gate insulation layer. The blocking layer is formed on the second substrate. The alignment layer is formed on one of the first and the second substrates. The liquid crystal layer is formed between the first and second substrates.
