PURPOSE: A communication repeater of half duplex communication through a private line is provided to perform normal communication without alternating the private line, by equipping repeaters on each terminal device of both sides of the private line to compensate signal attenuation in the private line, when an interline insulating resistance of the private line is 1Mohm to 100ohm. CONSTITUTION: A communication repeater of half duplex communication through a private line comprises a first repeater(30a) and a second repeater(30b). The communication repeater is applied, when an interline insulating resistance of the private line is 1Mohm to 100ohm. When an interline insulating resistance is 1Mohm to 100ohm between a first terminal(21) and a second terminal(22), the first repeater is equipped on the first terminal through the private line. The second repeater is equipped on the second terminal through the private line.
