PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the malfunction of feeding an extra truck by arranging a first stopper for stopping a head truck and a second stopper for stopping the second truck in positions separated for the portion of one truck at the terminal of a line for successively carrying trucks, and alternately operating the first and second stoppers. SOLUTION: A truck train consisting of a head truck 1, a second truck 2 and others traveled on a rail 13 as shown by an arrow 14 is stopped by engagingly locking wheels 11, 12 with a first stopper 3 and a second stopper 4, respectively. The head truck 1 is transferred to a truck turner (or truck shifting device) 5 and sent to the following step. When the first stopper is opened in the state where the second stopper is closed, the head truck 1 is transferred to the truck turner 5. When the second stopper is opened after the first stopper is returned to the closed position, the second truck and others are advanced, and the truck at the head end is engagingly locked with the first stopper and stopped. The second stopper is closed and engagingly locked with the second truck, and the first stopper is opened.
