PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food containing polyanion, capable of suppressing absorption of potassium ion into a body or absorption of potassium ion digested by eating, etc., and digesting the foods and suppressing absorption of potassium ion into a body. SOLUTION: This food preferably contains a polyanion (preferably polyuronic acid or polysulfonic acid) such as a polycarboxylic acid, e.g. polyglutamic acid and suppressing absorption of potassium ion into a body. The food is readily digested by a patient having lowered renal function and has a high potassium bonding capacity and excellent preservability, then the digested potassium is removed and discharged without loading to kidney.
