PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject powder giving good dispersibility to ibuprofen, decreasing pharyngeal irritation caused by the ibuprofen when administered, and useful for general cold medicines, antipyretic and analgesic medicines, etc., by allowing glycyrrhizic acid, etc., to adhere to the surface of ibuprofen powder, or coating the surface of the ibuprofen powder with the glycyrrhizic acid, etc. SOLUTION: This processed ibuprofen powder comprises allowing (B) glycyrrhizic acid or its salt to adhere to the surface of (A) ibuprofen powder, or coating the surface of the component A with the component B. The component B is preferably used in an amount of 0.02-0.5 pt.wt. per pt.wt. of the component A. The powder is obtained by mixing and kneading the components A and B in such a state that the component A is substantially not dissolved but the component B is completely or partially dissolved, then drying the mixture. The mixing and kneading process is preferably carried out in the presence of a solvent comprising water and ethanol mixed in a ratio of water: ethanol of 1:0 to 1:2 (v/v). The solvent is preferably used in an amount of 0.03-20 pts.wt. per pt.wt. of the component A.
