PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow abutting parts on divided-display parts in a liquid crystal display device to be inconspicuous by eliminating turn-up wiring members of an end part of a substrate for the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 20 provided with division and display parts 30 individually filled with liquid crystal 17 and arranged adjacent to each other in a display part 21 comprises a data processing part 41 for dividing the display data to be displayed on the display part 21 corresponding to the division and display parts 30, and data transmission means 44, 31 for transmitting the data between the data processing part 41 and the division and display parts 30 based on the magnetic coupling. A substrate 11 for the liquid crystal display device is provided with a coil 31 on the layer lower than an electrode 11a for driving the liquid crystal 17. Since liquid crystal display is possible without turn-up wiring in a pixel gap X, the pixel gap X is narrowed and the division and display parts can closely be arranged.
